- Oisin CLG underage off to Glasgow.

On 12th September the Oisins underage squad will be taking the trip up the M6 to Glasgow. The aim of the weekend away is to foster links between the Manchester club and it`s Scottish counterpart Tir Connaill Harps. Like Oisins the Glasgow club have a proud history and involvement in underage gaelic games development.

The group will leave Old Bedians on the Saturday morning and arrive back on the Sunday evening.

Events planned for the weekend include a visit to Parkhead to see the mighty Celtic take on Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League clash. After the game the group will head to The Time Capsule for a well earned break where they can join in a number of activities including ice skating, bowling, swimming etc.

On the Sunday morning the U-10`s 12`s and 14`s will all be playing in a blitz organised by our hosts Tir Connaill Harps. This will give the 35 plus kids who are making the trip a chance to play against the best Glasgow has to offer in underage gaelic football.

Oisins have a proud tradition of sending both senior and underage team on footballing trips. The last underage trip was last year when the underage set up travelled to Offaly and Westmeath to take on and beat clubs on their own pitches.

It is hoped that Old Bedians can play host to Tir Connaill Harps in the near future to thank them for giving Oisins the chance to show gaelic football fans the progress of our ongoing underage development.
